About
Permanent plug Kestrel is a new generation of wireline deployable high expansion bridge plug, using
unique metal expandable technology. Kestrel plug is a high expansion plugging device that can be set anywhere
within the casing/tubing without the requirement of a landing nipple.
The high expansion ratio allows the plug to pass restrictions and set-in large ID casings. The Kestrel may be set
on slickline, electric line, coil tubing or a workstring. When run on slickline or electric line, the Hydro-
Mechanical Setting Adaptor (HMSA) is run between the Plug and the setting tool. The HMSA is designed to be
interfaced to standard setting tools.
